Rescue workers in New Zealand are Thursday searching for missing people, including children, following a landslide at a campsite caused by heavy rain, which also caused widespread damage and left thousands without power. Homes were evacuated and roads closed amid heavy rain along almost the entire east coast of the North Island. Local official Tim Anderson said the number of missing people is 'in single digits'. The landslide occurred at 20:30 GMT Wednesday at a popular tourist site on Mount Mangawhewe.
